Yesterday, country music superstar Eric Church announced his 9th studio album, "Evangeline vs. The Machine."
Church's social media accounts were posting cryptic videos all week and fans were expecting some sort of announcement. Church's Facebook page made two separate posts. The first telling his new single "Hands of Time" would be released on March 20th of this year. One day later, another post appeared with the caption,
"We ain't as young as we used to be... 3.20.25."
Fans started to speculate what Church was going to tell the world on Thursday.
Fans of Church took to the internet and posted screenshots of Apple Music showing a new Eric Church album on Wednesday the 19th. It showed eight tracks and a release date of May 2nd, 2025.
As soon as the clock struck midnight on Thursday, Church's social media posted yet again with the caption "News escaped from the machine earlier today, but we're proud to announce the single "Hands of Time" is out now, and the new album Evangeline vs. The Machine will be releasing on 5.2.2025" confirming the leaks.
This is not the first time Church has wanted to release a surprise album. Back in 2015, he released "Mr. Misunderstood" with very little warning, with great success. It reached No. 2 on November 11th, 2015, and still remains one of Church's signature albums.
